Sisa Salgado

Sisa Salgado, artista escénica, comunicadora y gestora cultural residente en la India y Nueva York, viene realizando un trabajo artístico-investigativo desde hace 12 años para conectar culturas y reflexionar sobre la historia humana a través de la danza. Con su proyecto La Ruta de la Danza ha recorrido Asia y América a través del Estrecho de Bering para conocer las danzas tradicionales de distintas culturas de estos dos continentes.
Actualmente se encuentra en una nueva fase de su proyecto en el continente africano.

Sisa is an anthropologist, dancer and explorer from Ecuador currently living in India and New York.

She has studied social sciences and art in prestigious schools in Asia and South America. 

Her curiosity and fascination with history and human migrations, led her in 2011 to begin a long trip from Asia to America following a historic migratory route that connects both continents. This journey is The Dance Road. 

Through the study of traditional dances of the peoples that inhabit these territories, Sisa hopes to understand the historic journey that humanity set off on thousands of years ago and the cultural and artistic connections that exist between the peoples of Asia and those in Ecuador.
